YOU’VE spent ages filing your nails, pushing back the cuticles and painstaking stroking on your varnish, only to ruin it all by smudging your new colour almost straight away.
We’ve all been there, and it couldn’t be more annoying.
No matter how long you wait for your nail polish to dry, it never seems to be long enough.
Added to that there’s always a pressing loo visit needed once your final nail is primed, and you’ve pretty much got no hope of maintaining your mani.
That’s because it turns out there’s actually a really easy way to stop the dreaded smudges and chips.
If you want to get your nail polish to dry super fast, all you need is a bowl full of cold water and ice cubes.
Yes it’s chilly, but surely cold fingers are a small price to pay for perfect nails?

Then simply plunge your hands into the cold water and hold them there for three minutes.
When you take them out they might have a slight tinge of blue to them. but your nail varnish will also be completely set.
Try it, you’ll even see droplets of water collected on the top pf your lacquer.
It’s so simple you’ll wonder why you put up with a patchy manicure at all.
